Active Probes

These spacecraft are still operating today, somewhere between the Sun and interstellar space. Each has its own detailed page, and all of them can be seen in Astrolab 3D's 3D experience, at their estimated current position.

Voyager 1

The first human object in interstellar space, and the Golden Record it carries toward the stars.

Voyager 2

The only spacecraft to have flown past all four giant planets, during an alignment that occurs once a century.

New Horizons

The first close exploration of Pluto, followed by a primitive object in the Kuiper Belt.

Juno

In a tight polar orbit around Jupiter, probing what lies beneath its clouds.

BepiColombo

Two European and Japanese orbiters en route to Mercury, the least explored planet.

Parker Solar Probe

The fastest object ever built, diving directly into the Sun's corona.

The James Webb Space Telescope, also visible in the 3D experience, has its own entry in the Space Telescopes section.
